Terms of Service

Last updated 1 September 2026. These terms apply to this website and to any quotation we issue from it.

Using this site

Everything published here - photography, drawings, system names and written material - belongs to Unit. You are welcome to reference and link to it. You may not reproduce it commercially without written permission.

Quotations and orders

A quotation is valid for sixty days. An order becomes binding when we confirm it in writing and receive the agreed deposit. Standard systems ship six weeks from that confirmation; custom development is quoted with its own schedule.

Prices and payment

Prices are quoted in Swiss francs and exclude VAT and delivery unless the quotation states otherwise. We invoice fifty per cent on confirmation and the balance on installation, payable within thirty days.

Warranty

Unit components carry a ten-year structural warranty covering frames, fixings and connections in normal use. Finishes are covered for three years against flaking and delamination. The warranty transfers with the components if you sell or move them.

Changes and cancellation

Standard orders can be changed or cancelled without charge up to two weeks before the production slot. Custom components enter production earlier, and cancellation after that point is charged at cost.

Liability and law

Our liability is limited to the value of the order in question. These terms are governed by Swiss law, and the courts of Basel-Stadt have jurisdiction.
